My work as an artist has evolved from representational to abstract art and I have been w
- As an artist I’ve be dedicated to making art full time since turning my architectural practice over to my partners at McGillin Architecture Inc in 2019, dividing my time between my home studios outside Philadelphia and the eastern shore of Maryland. My work as an artist has evolved from representational to abstract art and I have been working on incorporating my digital paintings into mixed media pieces. In addition to architecture degrees from Harvard Graduate School of Design and Temple University, my formal art education includes a few studio classes at PCA, Fleisher and The Clay Studio in Philadelphia.

- Primarily working in acrylics on canvas and panels, I’ve been developing a new abstract art that infuses my digital paintings in mono prints that combine ink, color pencil, marker and acrylic paint on watercolor paper.

My Abstract Art, contrasted with architecture, were there are many constraints to guide the creative process, not least of which is gravity, abstract painting is free of all constraints and the process results in constant surprise and joy. Eleanor C. McGillin, a talented interior designer, art historian and critic remains my muse and patron.
